My Definition of Science Fiction

Greetings. Welcome to my blog. The history of science fiction is fascinating. Elements of science fiction originated centuries ago but the term 'science fiction’ appeared in Hugo Gernsback's magazine publication Amazing Stories in 1926. The definition, however, remains a controversial topic and is subject to interpretation. My definition is  as follows: A story that includes plausible futuristic technologies and relatable characters in a compelling story that takes place on either planet earth or distant galaxies.
